Boat

A fourteen-metre motor yacht at the jetty, with a view of the cabin and the engine room.

Building the environment

A fourteen-metre motor yacht, moored at the jetty. The deck lies open above the cabin, so you look down into the seating area, the galley and the helm. Below that are the engine room and the bilge.

A boat sits idle for most of the year, and usually not right outside your door. That makes the question different from the one you ask about a home: not "can I operate it", but "will I hear about it when something happens". Water in the bilge, a battery running flat, someone on board who shouldn't be there.

The six devices in this scene answer that question. They work in the same app as the devices in your house, so there is no need for a second system alongside. Marinas and rental companies run a whole fleet on it.
